Writing about Josh Hamilton ’s 28-HR, first-round performance
in the 2008 MLB Home Run Derby would do
him a disservice. So, in respect for Hamilton, here is video footage of his final four record-breaking home runs. Bobby Abreu had the previous record with 24 first-round home runs.

Bobby Murcer died today at the age of
62. This is a truly sad day for the
Yankees and their fans. He was a great Yankee and an even better man. I grew up listening to Murcer call Yankees game on WPIX, and later on MSG and YES. I wish I had been able to see him play. RIP Bobby, you will be sorely missed, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Bobby Murcer

sportin’ Josh Hamilton from the Texas Rangers who pretty
much stole the show. Even though he was the home run derby runner up, he broke the record for the most home runs in a single round by belting out 28 home runs. Bobby Abreu had the previous record of 24 that he hit in 2005.
