Move Sean Henry, Daniel Dorn, and Shaun Cumberland to AAA. If you don't plan on having Dunn next year you need to find out if any of these 3 guys can possibly be a part of the answer.
 2. You find a place for Chris Dickerson at the major league level to see what he can offer. Likely involving cutting Corey Patterson loose.

TOWER GROVE — One of the players the Cardinals just signed from Latin America they found because they were looking at the same player as everyone else.
On one of several trips to Venezuela for the Cardinals vice president of player development Jeff Luhnow, the Cardinals held a private workout with shortstop Cesar Valera and outfielder Yorman Rodriguez .
Harang And The Sabathia Deal

As most of you probably already know C.C. Sabathia is has been traded to the Brewers for Matt LaPorta "Zach Jackson, Rob Bryson, and maybe Taylor Green." Green is rumored to be a PTBNL.

This just raises the question if half a season of a guy who isn't likely to resign in Milwaukee is worth a player like LaPorta how much could Aaron Harang be worth?

Okay, here’s the plan

Reds need to win the next six games to cruise into the All-Star break two games over .500, ready to make a serious run at the Wild Card in the second half. It’s gonna happen! Ya’ gotta believe!
I love it when a plan comes together.

It was a little fun, wasn't it? Just when I have myself believing that I am done with baseball for the year, that I cannot take any more disappointment, the Reds have to go out and get a four game sweep to move within four games of .500. Irrationality strikes again as we go into a six game road trip against the Chub$ and the Sausages. Time to gain a few games in the standings and climb back ...

wrigleyville23 found this 17 hours ago on baseballchurch.blogspot.com [link]

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: MLB, Cincinnati Reds

Discuss….

BakerMetrics Alert: Dusty Is Worse Than I Thought

Just when Dusty was getting his act together, and was starting to figure out how to build a decent line up Dusty takes 5 steps backwards. Let me run down the play by play for anyone who didn't see it.
 * The inning starts off with Adam Dunn walk
 * Corey Patterson comes in to pinch run
 * Brandon Phillips infield singles on a ball to the shortstop
Then the weird shit starts. continued...

DunnandDunner posted 8 days ago from www.dunnanddunner.com [link]

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: MLB, Dusty Baker, Adam Dunn, Brandon Phillips, David Ross, Ken Griffey, Joey Votto, Cincinnati Reds

Yesterday Jeff Piecoro seemed almost orgasmic when he said something along the lines of "with the trade rumors swirling", and today George Grande and Chris Welsh sounded very suspicious when they were talking about trades as well.

Holy crap the Reds are ballsy. What's next the Reds offer Sabathia 250 million over 2 years? Honestly I don't think its going to be that big of a reach to think that Walt Jocketty will be trying to sign some big time free agent this off-season considering his past in St. Louis. He normally did it through trades though.

DunnandDunner posted 6 days ago from www.dunnanddunner.com [link]

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: MLB, Cincinnati Reds, Walt Jocketty, St. Louis Cardinals, Michel Inoa

Nats' Dukes out 4-6 weeks with knee injury

Washington Nationals outfielder Elijah Dukes will be sidelined for four to six weeks because of a knee injury suffered during a 3-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday night.

Dukes tore cartilage and partially tore a tendon in his right knee when he slammed into the left-field wall after catching a flyball in the seventh inning. He grabbed his knee and was taken off the field on a cart.

Dukes will have surgery on Monday. The Nationals didn't immediately replace him on the roster.

FanHouse found this 2 days ago on msn.foxsports.com [link]

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: MLB, Washington Nationals, Elijah Dukes, Cincinnati Reds

So, I pretty much sat and watched every single Bronson Arroyo commercial (like this one that rules in ways I can't explain) on Youtube for a while and I noticed there's this thing he does at the end where he looks directly into the camera, with some sort of hard core look on his face. I am baffled by this. Anyone?
