As Erin said yesterday in the comments, the
Cubs had the opportunity to win their 10,000th game...
as a franchise last night and they did it with a 7-6 win over the Rockies in 10 innings. I'm not sure what 10,000 wins means other than that the Cubs have been around forever but it sure is a nice round number. Still, I'd be willing to give up 8 or 9 thousand of those wins for a few championships,
