As if recording three errors in the All-Star
Game wasn't bad enough, the AP spelled "ugly" as
"uggly" in stories after the game. The screen capture here doesn't lie.
Putting together a fearsome lineup from the Marlins
and Rays would only cost you $21 million bucks,
about $7 million less than one A-Rod.

Screaming Sports' Drew Thibodeau breaks out another edition
of MLB Trade 'Em and suggests some very surprising
moves. Trade Dan Uggla? Miguel Tejada? You betcha. And while it may sounds crazy, he follows it up with some very sound reasoning.
Sunday's scores and recaps are in the books
as we head into another new week of Major

Of the 15 innings of tedious baseball played
last night, and into this morning, maybe two or
three actually caught my attention. From the tenth inning on, every time the National League failed to plate a run, I was practically begging the AL to score so this thing would be over. I would only beg if I was awake though, as this game failed to hold my attention more than a fluffy couch could...
Screaming Sports' Phil Yoon runs down several baseball
Bulls and several baseball Bears in the latest edition
of Stock Market. J.D. Drew? Oh yea, he's definitely a bull. Dan Uggla? Ehhhh ... not so much.
And just like that, the City of Champions
has ended the Mets season for the 2nd consecutive
season. Would any one object to just making this an annual event? The Marlins took a bat to the Met’s jaw today, as Wes Helms and Dan Uggla hit ...

In case you missed it (and you might
have because it lingered a bit, just a bit),
Tuesday night's All-Star Game was an instant classic. It had everything. Great pitching, some ridiculous plays by the likes of Miguel Tejada and Nate McLouth and a walk-off sac fly play at the plate. Amidst all the awesomeness, was one Dan Uggla.
Photo Bloopers of All-Star Week in NYC with
Chase Utley, Brad Lidge, Dan Uggla, Kevin Youkilis and

I was one of the 50,000 or so at Shea sitting in my seat. Speechless. Mouth agape. Emotionally and, by extension, physically paralyzed. I'd attented about 20 games over the course of the season as a partial season ticket holder. Watched a frighteningly high percentage of the other 140 or so...
I saw this game. I'm glad the author
recapped it because I was drunker than Mojo Nixon,
and I'll be damned if I didn't forget all about the Griffey drop.
This week’s top performers are headlined by older
names, mixed with some future talent, while those who
played poorly are quite surprising. The second half of the season is well underway and some players are getting extended playing time because some teams are looking toward the future. As the trade deadline looms, some players are gaining stock while some are losing it. This may ...

This year's All-Star Game only seemed to add
to my thesis that 2008 may end up being
the greatest year in sports history . The performance of Dan Uggla notwithstanding, everything about it was a fitting finale for the grand cathedral that is Yankee ...
Chase Utley homers for the fifth straight game,
Carlos Zambrano stymies the Mets, Miguel Tejada puts on

Three mighty men sit atop this week’s hottest
hitter of the week, but Boston’s 1B Kevin Youkilis
edged out the other two with his 6HRs to go along with the rest of his week’s line of 10/14/1/.417/.421 (R/RBI/SB/BA/OBP). The other two players were the Marlins 2B Dan Uggla who also hit .417 and smacked 5 HRs
