Watching Jeremy Bonderman, from 2004 through the first
half of 2007, you got the feeling that, while
maddeningly inconsistent, he was very close to developing into a top pitcher. He had two good fastballs (four seamer and two seamer) and one of the ...

I really can't believe people are making such
a big deal about this, and that it's still
being talked about. Does anyone say a word when Johnathan Papelbon goes nuts on the mound, or when K-Rod does his little dance? Or how about the many other pitchers who show the same type of excitement on the mound, does anyone complain? I remember a game against the Tigers in '06 or maybe it was last year ...
Yanks back to .500, 19-19...
Darrell Rasner pitched his second straight quality start,
allowing only two earned runs over six innings against
the Detroit Tigers Saturday afternoon. He is now 2-0 on the season after going 4-0 for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
The forecast for Detroit does not look good
today. After 5:00 p.m., the weather does not get
any better. In fact, it gets worse around 7 p.m. This is the last game of the series and it's the Yankees' only trip to this wonderful city of the season, so they may do all they can to try and get this game in. Keep in mind that the Yankees have a 7:10 p.m. game in St. Petersburg, Fla. tomorrow night.
The Yanks and their fans could avoid another
torturous Kei Igawa start this week if the threat
of rain becomes a reality in Detroit today. Ed Price as all the details , and I urge Yankee fans everywhere to hope for a rained-out game today. Save us ...
Despite his atrocious outing on Friday night, Kei
Igawa remains on track to make a second start
on Wednesday against the Rays in St. Petersburg. Igawa allowed six runs on 11 hits in less than four innings against the Tigers on Friday.

Gary Sheffield looked like Gary Sheffield again Wednesday

The first game was in Boston, and the
Detroit Tigers had a new first baseman with incredible
power, a new third baseman who would make too many errors and a great old manager who had a way with words. So here we are 18 years later. Cecil Fielder has become Miguel Cabrera. Tony Phillips is now Carlos Guillen. Sparky Anderson morphed into Jim Leyland. And, what do you know, the Red Sox are in ...
I think we can all agree that Jonathon
