 DEVASTATING!!!
DEVASTATING!!!
I’ll have many lasting memories from last night’s game; So Taguchi’s pinch-hit, 2 run double to tie it, Pat Burrell & Jayson Werth’s sniping of Endy Chavez at the plate, Chase laying out to save 2 runs in the 7th, and ...

The questions are endless. Why did Jerry Manuel lift Johan Santana? Why didn’t Endy Chavez stop at third? Why didn’t Jose Reyes throw to first? Where was Billy Wagner?

Mets' Aguayo has Chavez DOA twice at home
Endy Chavez couldn't remember the last time he was thrown out at home. As for getting thrown out twice in one game, both times by such a wide margin even Chavez thought to himself, "Wow, I'm really far away," there wasn't a precedent.  ...

Lets take a look at the last 30 games, shall we
In the last 30 games we have a record of 20-10 and a 11-2 record in the month of July. We've only won 13 games in each of the first two months. Total. We have had quite a few players catch fire during this stretch, most notably Jose Reyes, who has just been outstanding of late. I was down on Fernando Tatis

Sure, he can play pretty much any position besides center field if need be, but he doesn't play any of them especially well. We already have two guys in Marlon Anderson and Damion Easley who can play the entire infield and two guys in Endy Chavez and Angel Pagan who can play the entire outfield. So ...

Early Morning Madness: Moises Alou is old and crippled edition
Early Morning Madness: Moises Alou is old and crippled edition
I have one thought running through my head after the Mets and Johan Santana won 5-0 last night, and it has nothing to do with anything that happened in that game: Moises Alou got hurt again?!?! This is not a joke.

Let me clear things up: The outfield is not OK; Endy Chavez has been great; The Mets need someone
Let me clear things up: The outfield is not OK; Endy Chavez has been great; The Mets need someone
I'm seeing a bunch of comments arguing my point I made early this morning, and I feel the need to defend my points. 1. Moises Alou is old, gets hurt way too much, and I am going to hold out no hope of him returning and helping the team for more than 16.2 seconds. 2. Endy Chavez has played very well in Alou's and Ryan Church's absence. He can easily continue to start in the OF with no problem. ...
