Dan Orlovsky, Drew Stanton, or Jon Kitna. That's
the final Jeopardy answer of the night. Who is
going to start Sunday is the question. Here's what I think.
Well, here we are. We’ve talked about what
happened in 2008 and also how much we paid
for it, but unless you all are gluttons for the punishment that only Skip Carey and Joe Buck can provide, it’s time to move on to 2009. The Tribe has some question marks heading into the off-season.
Fausto v. Sheffield
In a three-part series this week, Scott and
I will be taking stock of the 2008 Cleveland
Indians: Part 1 will look back and recap the 2008 season; Part 2 will look at the Indians compared to other teams in a “bang for buck” fashion; and Part 3 will look at what’s ahead this off-season [...]
There’s only one way to describe last night’s
game and pretty isn’t the word. Last night’s game
was ugly. Ugly in the sense that Paul Byrd gave up 11 hits in 5 innings of work. Ugly in the sense Fausto Carmona probably should have chosen to serve his suspension rather than get shellacked for 4 runs
As the Indians will face former starter Paul
Byrd tonight in Boston, I thought it would be
appropriate to discect a few numbers that are associated with said situation. Do enjoy. .336 - Opponent batting average on Byrd’s first pitch 1 - Number of wins in each of the first three
Consult the film Major League or just ask
me ... sometimes it rules being a fan of
the Cleveland Indians. Last night's game and bare knuckles brawl with the Tigers was a great example of that. If you didn't see what went down, please visit our ...
Hell hath no fury like Gary Sheffield on
the receiving end of cheap shots. In the wake
of finding out on Monday he'd been suspended four games for charging the mound in Cleveland, Detroit's designated hitter said he still plans to get even with those ...
Gratuitous linking to infamous fight. Now, with that
out of the way, we finally have the ruling
from Major League Baseball as to which players will miss what games. The inital ruling is as follows: Fausto Carmona: Six games Gary Sheffield: Four games Victor Martinez:
Who doesn’t love a good brawl especially when
it deals with two heavyweights like Gary Sheffield and
Fausto Carmona. The Cleveland Indians pitcher beaned Sheffield, who was none too please. Tensions were high and then exploded as Sheff charged ...
Gary Sheffield suspended four games, still vows revenge vs. Indians | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press
Gary Sheffield, Indians pitcher Fausto Carmona and two
other Indians were suspended Monday by Major League Baseball
for the brawl that began in Friday night's Tigers-Indians game when Sheffield charged Carmona. Sheffield didn't appeal his four-game ...
It’s the final week of Fantasy Baseball in
all Yahoo! leagues, and for those lucky people in
the Championship Round, it’s time to pick up the players who are going to surge as the regular season comes to a close. Make reckless moves! Stream your pitching! Drop those players you once ...
Cleveland pitcher Fausto Carmona was suspended six games
and Detroit slugger Gary Sheffield was penalized four games
Monday for their brawl last week.
He will not appeal, so his suspension will
start tonight. No other Tigers were suspended or fined.
Three Indians were supposedly disciplined in some sort, according to Tigers president/GM Dave Dombrowski. UPDATE @ 5pm: Fausto Carmona received six ...
Check out the video of the brawl between
the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians from the other
night.
Gary Sheffield has always been a feared player,
partly because he’s jacked but mostly because he appears
and sounds to be completely insane. Like if you stepped accidentally scratched his car, he would accidentally scratch your eyeballs ...
Gary Sheffield, as you can see above, got
locked up and beat about the head after charging
at Fausto Carmona in Friday's Tigers-Indians pumpernickel party. Sheff actually charged from first base after being plunked. Carmona presumably dealt the ...
If you weren't already aware, the Tigers and
Indians had a little incident last night after Miguel
Cabrera hit his 36th homer of the season, and Fausto Carmona followed it up by hitting Gary Sheffield with a pitch on the elbow. Now, as anybody who ...
A huge win for the Indians last night,
but there’s bound to be some missed games after
this one. First off, this entire situation was started by Gary Sheffield. Was he upset that it didn’t hit him in his elbow armor? Alas, dude leaves with a bloody nose ...
Fausto Carmona hits Gary Sheffield with pitch and
bench clearing brawl ensues
From Friday's Cleveland-Detroit game, Sheffield charges the mound

A little less than a year ago, the
Indians turned a few heads when they agreed to
terms with relief pitcher Masa Kobayashi. At 34 years of age, Kobayashi has had an up and down season that has become a little more volatile with each marginal inning pitched. In 42 games prior to the All-Star
