That Joe Girardi is one hands-on manager. As
I write this from The Trop, he’s in the
bullpen catching Andrew Brackman. Humberto Sanchez is warming up next. They had to put a screen behind Girardi because Brackman was all over the place. Bu that’s to be expected considering he’s coming off surgery.

Chad Jennings is reporting that Phil Hughes and
Humberto Sanchez will both be heading to the Arizona
Fall League. Both pitchers need innings so it's a no-brainer to send them to the AFL. Jennings also said that Chris Garcia, Jeff Marquez and Ian Kennedy may also be candidates to go.

According to Mike Ashmore, Humberto Sanchez has been
called up to the big leagues. In 15 games
in the minors this season Sanchez was 0-2 with a 3.68 ERA, and in 14.2 innings he allowed 14 hits, walked 5, and struck out 19.

for the Arizona Fall League. Juan Miranda and Kevin
Whelan will join Austin Jackson, Phil Hughes, Jeff Marquez, Humberto Sanchez, and Kevin Russo on the Peoria Javelinas . The season will begin on October 7th.
