Offseason Moves For the Chicago White Sox

After a season that exceeded most Chicago White Sox fans' expectations, the team will have to take a long look in the mirror to figure out how to get back to the World Series.
After a few mid-season moves, General Manager Kenny Williams will have to address several positions and long term contracts to reshape this team.
With the apparent departure of free agents Orlando Cabrera, Joe Crede, and Ken Griffey Jr., plus the long term contracts of Paul Konerko, Jim Thome, and Jermaine Dye, Williams has his purse strings tied pretty tight.
He will need to address the needs for a second baseman, third baseman, center fielder and lead off hitter. Free agents Chone Figgins of the Angels and Orlando Hudson of the Diamondbacks could possibly fill a few of their needs.
I think this offseason will be very busy for Kenny to give Ozzie the team with speed he has been looking for since the World Series year of 2005

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: MLB, Chicago White Sox, Al Reyes, Kenny Williams, Orlando Cabrera, Joe Crede

Chicago White Sox Vs. Minnesota Twins Tonight!

A flip of a coin will turn out to be the Chicago White Sox best friend as they play the Minnesota Twins tonight in Chicago. If the Sox had to play this game in Minnesota they would lose. Since they are playing in Chicago they will win.
There are no need for stats and reasons why the Sox will win really. It is enough to say that both teams are 53-28 at home this season. Making it a critical coin flip for each team to be at home for this right to be in the playoffs. A coin flip has decided that the Sox will play at home and advance to the playoffs.
I like to think fate decided the Sox should play at home since they have been playing without M.V.P. candidate Carlos Quentin, Joe Crede, and Jose Contreras.
Tonight we Sox fans will celebrate home win 54 and advance to the post season to play Tampa Bay. Yes I said Tampa Bay.

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: MLB, Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, Carlos Quentin, Joe Crede

Crede short on words about condition

Joe Crede once again opted not to talk with the media when approached in the White Sox clubhouse on Monday afternoon. But the All-Star third baseman did say that he would be traveling to Dallas on Thursday to see a noted spine specialist.

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: MLB, Joe Crede, Chicago White Sox
