A few reasons to hope that Barry Bonds
might actually become a Tampa Bay Devil Ray. Manager
Joe Maddon is open to the idea. Star players Carl Crawford and B. J. Upton support it. Mainly though it depends on why the team changed its name. Was it about an image of red state morality? Or just an attempt to disassociate with past losing? If it's the latter, maybe just maybe Bonds will come to TB.
