	<title>Pregame Notes: Abreu scratched</title>

	<description>&lt;p&gt; A couple of notes before the Yankees go for the sweep of the Rays: 

 Bobby Abreu was scratched from the lineup with a sore left wrist. Abreu injured himself while sliding into second base in the ninth inning last night, but he didn&amp;#8217;t mention it to the team until today, when he couldn&amp;#8217;t do his usual drills in the batting cage. Xavier Nady moves to right field, Johnny Damon moves to left and Brett Gardner will play center. 

 Hideki Matsui is getting his first game off since returning from the disabled list, but the DH said his left knee is feeling fine. Joe Girardi just decided to rest Matsui after 15 straight games, including the last two on artificial turf, but he said Matsui would play the rest of the road trip. 

 The NFL season kicks off within the hour, as the Giants open their title defense at home against the Redskins. 	<description>&lt;p&gt;      Robinson Cano hit the tiebreaking homer in the seventh inning after New York blew a five-run lead, and the Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles 8-7 Sunday for a three-game sweep. Cano went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.
