Is it officially time to let go of
Ivan Rodriguez as a viable fantasy option? THREE UP/THREE
DOWN Hitters Jason Giambi, 1B/DH – NYY (UP) Giambi disappeared from fantasy rosters over the past year or so as he struggled to keep an average of over .250. That may be changing. His percent of ownership has been jumping of late, as Giambi has cut down on the strikeouts, and is again ...
Justin Morneau should win his second American League
Most Valuable Player award this season -- and this
is why.
Joey Votto becomes only the third Canadian to
hit three Home Runs in a game ... and
the first Rookie in three seasons to do it.
Two years ago, I wrote about how the
MVP is a joke , because it’s come down

The Minnesota Twins announced that they will hold
a press conference today at 4:00 pm on the
KSTP stage at TwinsFest. Speculation is that they will announce the signing of 1B Justin Morneau and OF Michael Cuddyer to multi-year contracts. More details as they are unveiled.
Justin Morneau and Michael Cuddyer are getting $104
million of commitment from Carl Pohlad's Minnesota Twins bank
account.
It'll never happen but how nice it would
be to finally take a summer off. Just one
season where Minnesotans were sweating due to the humidity rather than what Frank Thomas was doing or going to do to their beloved Twins. Though he's no longer an MVP run producer it'd be interesting and probably a lot of fun if he donned the TC, no? Forget Jason Kubel for one year -- just think about it.
Baseball sure is a crazy game. The Twins
couldn't do anything all day, but a late inning
rally and Morneau's fifth hit of the day still gave them a victory.

MLB hates Canadians more than it hates African
Americans. While Sheffield and Hunter claim that the low
cost and “yes massa” attitude of Latin American players are causing African Americans to be pushed out of the game, it’s really the Canadians who are being hurt the most.
