ComcastNet New England, citing a major league source, says that Kansas City has been awarded the game. An official announcement should come no later than next month at the winter meetings, the site reports. The Royals were competing with the Boston Red Sox for the game. The Sox wanted to mark the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park with the Midsummer Classic.
