Tim Dierkes over at RotoAuthority posted a short
note yesterday on who would close between Corpas or
Taylor Buchholz should Brian Fuentes be traded as has been rumored and I wanted to comment further on this topic. I will agree with the belief that Corpas will be given the first shot, but I will also make the bold claim that he will keep the job for the rest of the season and do a solid job.

Just heard that Manny Corpas of the Rockies
won the “DHL Presents the Major League Baseball Delivery
Man of the Month Award” for September. That's the award that recognizes the best relief pitcher during each month of the season. He deserved it for September. He was 8 out of 9 in save ops and had a 2.30 ERA during the month. Not sure if the Rocks make the playoffs without him.
