Although he never lived up to the billing
of the next Mickey Mantle, he touched the lives
of just as many Yankees fans in his playing and broadcasting career. My favorite "Did you know" part of the article was that he was the only person to play with Mantle and Don Mattingly, which means he bridged several generations of Yankees fans.
