The Boston Red Sox announced this afternoon that
they have placed Mike Lowell on the 15-day disabled

Things started out good yesterday for the Boston
Red Sox. Mike Lowell hits a 3-run home run
in the top half of the 1st and Clay Buchholz shuts down the Chicago White Sox in the bottom half. Then slowly but surely things started to fall apart as Buchholz would give up 3 home runs over the course of the next two innings as all of the sudden the 3-0 lead he had, went to a 5-3 deficit.

It was a tough night last night for
the Boston Red Sox as hits were at a
premium for them as they were shutdown by Mark Buehrle for 7 innings. Buehrle had been struggling in 2008 but last night he looked like the second coming of Cy Young. He kept the Red Sox hitters off balance mixing in all of his pitches giving up just 4 hits. Personally, I didn’t think Lester had his best stuff ...
