First of a series which brings a fresh
look at the people who coach the Braves. Good
background info. Interesting perspective. It's "meet the guy in the uniform."
Emboldened by the various film awards bestowed upon
my Miller Park tailgating opus , I've hauled the
Handycam here to New York in search of a few good video clips. Here's at least one batch, all taken during a Sunday visit to the Fanfest/marketing ...
When the Milwaukee Brewers return to Miller Park
on July 25, they'll find new grass on the
infield. Gary Vanden Berg, the team's chief groundskeeper, said Tuesday that the change to a new kind of bluegrass on the infield came about because players ...
Baseball player Corey Hart’s Milwaukee Brewers teammates couldn’t
wait to congratulate him on his All-Star bid. Hart
was in the Miller Park interview room with his two young children after learning of his election, and just a few minutes into the press conference about a dozen of his teammates burst into the room spraying beer on Hart and his children.
Check out MLB.com's list of top All-Star memories
and to see that neither Torii's catch nor Bud's
tie-game shrug is nowhere to be found.
This week's Brain Leak: Will Leitch, prostitutes and

MILWAUKEE -- Tom Gorzelanny, a 14-game winner last
season who has struggled mightily this season, today was
optioned to Class AAA Indianapolis by the Pirates. Gorzelanny, who pitched just 4 2/3 innings in his start here yesterday, left Miller Park ...
Dave Bush pitched his second consecutive gem at
Miller Park on Saturday night in a 2-1 Brewers
win. Bush went eight innings giving up only one run on four hits while striking out seven. He took a no-decision but he has now made back-to-back starts at Miller Park going eight innings and giving up only a single run.
I just was told by a reliable club
source that the Brewers have a deal in place
with Cleveland for left-hander C.C. Sabathia, contingent on the paperwork being done and medical records exchanged. But believe me, folks, that's a deal. All that other ...
The Milwaukee Brewers and Executive Vice President and
General Manager Doug Melvin have just announced they will
host a press conference today at Miller Park in the Media Interview Room at 11 a.m. CT to announce a baseball related transaction. Anyone want to guess what that will be :) I hope to talk to Matt LaPorta some time today.
The Brewers are holding a press conference at
11 a.m. this morning to announce a "baseball related
transaction." Wonder what that could be? Of course, it will be to announce they have traded for Cleveland left-hander C.C. Sabathia, a deal that was ...
I like it. Look, I don't like losing
Matt LaPorta any more than the next guy, but
this is how you win championships in Major League baseball. Remember last year when the Brewers drafted LaPorta who was a first baseman in college, and a lot of people ...
Re-visit Randall Simon of the Pittsburgh Pirates beating
the meat! (With video) Five years ago tomorrow Simon
struck a Milwaukee Brewers mascot (dressed as an Italian sausage) with a baseball bat during a game at Milwaukee's Miller Park. Looking back it's funny how much the police and media blew the incident out of proportion.
Maybe all Barack Obama and John McCain need
to do is grow a mustache and they'll seal
the deal in November. A ranking of the best campaigns during this Final Roster Vote.
Back in the early '70s, when my dad
was a college student, Milwaukee was a mecca. The
drinking age was still only 18, County Stadium served their beer by the bucket and the ushers would let him in for free if he presented the ticket stub from that ...
As promised, here are the highlights from my
l'il road trip up I-94 to Milwaukee last Saturday
for the Brewers-Pirates game. As you'll be able to see, three things were flowing freely that day: Miller Lite, 67 varieties of mustard and unabashed hope ...
CC Sabathia received at least four standing ovations
from the 42,000+ sellout crowd at Miller Park Tuesday
night (10,000 tickets sold in 24 hours) during his debut against the Colorado Rockies, which he won 7-3.
CC Sabathia picked up the win in his
Brewer debut as Milwaukee edged Colorado 7-3 at Miller
Park. Sabathia allowed two earned runs while fanning five and walking five over six innings to pick up the victory. Ryan Braun smashed his 22nd homer of the ...
Thanks to all of the baseball fans who
voted to get Corey Hart into the All-Star game
next week. Brewers’ fans stepped up to the plate and voted over 8 million times to get Hart into the midsummer classic. The Brewers’ organization made a big push promoting Hart for the game. All staff at Miller Park wore I Hart New York t-shirts for the past four days.
Dave Bush had the best outing of his
career on Thursday in an 11-1 thrashing of the
Rockies. Bush struck out a career high 13 in eight innings while allowing only three hits and a single Rockies’ run. It is the third straight outing in a row at Miller Park that Bush has been nearly unhitable. Bush picked up his fifth victory on the season and lowered his season ERA to 4.39.
