A sense of false confidence that seems poignant and legitimate at the time but has no staying power. The last couple of days it has been Bill Hall and Thursday night was Ryan Braun’s turn. With the Brewers trailing 3-2 in the ninth, Braun came up to bat with JJ Hardy on first.
