The Astros are in the basement of the
NL Central with little of no hope for the
next few years of being anywhere else. While we can certainly ridicule Ed Wade and Drayton McLane, perhaps we should point the finger at the beat writers who have defended them and sold their lies.
The Houston Astros have some sort of plan
they are about to set into action. I'm not
sure exactly what it is, but it somehow involves Randy Wolf. Maybe they're planning a hostile takeover of the NL Central.

Wade insisted to the media that the Astros
are a MUCH better team than our record shows
and we fully expect to win and we are NOT sellers. I am not making this up.
The Houston Astros are engaged in serious discussions
to acquire veteran left-hander Randy Wolf of the San
Diego Padres . Wolf, 31, is 6-10 with a 4.74 ERA this season. He began his career with the Philadelphia Phillies -- the former employer of Ed ...
HOUSTON -- The Astros acquired left-handed pitcher Randy

Today we traded Randy Wolf to the Astros

If Drayton McLane keeps watching his Astros, he
may finally see them for what they actually are
instead of what he'd like them to be. He's stubborn, not stupid. He'll eventually understand that his franchise is broken. It didn't get broken overnight, ...
Today the Padres sent P Randy Wolf to
Houston in return for minor league pitcher Chad Reineke.
Reineke isn’t a great pitcher, with a 4.41 ERA in 19 starts for Round Rock, Houston’s AAA affiliate. But, with a less than 1/1 GB/FB ratio, it ...
That's right, the Houston Astros, who are ten
games removed from a playoff spot have acquired a
veteran free-agent-to-be starting pitcher . I suppose this is Ed Wade's idea of answering back to C.C. Sabathia and Rich Harden. Cute, if not ...
The San Deigo Padres currently have the worst
record in all of baseball, at 38-62. And yet
as of this writing they haven’t made any significant moves toward rebuilding the team, and are still acting as if they are trying to contend. ...
There are good trades, there are bad trades,
there are in-between trades, and then there are trades
that just don't make a lick of sense. The Astros traded for Randy Wolf today to strengthen their rotation for their intense battle for last place in ...

The Padres have found a willing trade partner
-- albeit an unlikely one -- for left-handed pitcher
Randy Wolf. They will trade Wolf to the Astros on Tuesday for a Minor League pitcher, according to a source.
By Tom Krasovic July 22, 2008 The Padres
have dealt left-hander Randy Wolf to the Houston Astros
for Chad Reineke, a Triple-A pitcher who has averaged nearly a strikeout per inning. A key part of the deal for the Padres is the potential financial ...

ST. LOUIS -- While trading veteran first baseman
Tony Clark back to Arizona proved to be reasonably
easy for the Padres, finding a suitor for pitcher Randy Wolf might not be as easy. Less than two weeks before the July 31 Trade Deadline, San Diego ...

San Diego Padres General Manager Sandy Alderson seemed
to raise the white flag after his team was
swept by the woeful Seattle Mariners.
The Padres have lost eight in a row,
slipping to 9.5 games out in the NL West.
CEO Sandy Alderson says "it's probably easier to see us as sellers at this point." He added that they could still look to buy if the Padres can creep ...
