GRAND CENTER — Both Chicago papers are reporting
that Jim Edmonds could be a Cub shortly after
he flies off waivers this week, having been released over the weekend by San Diego. A signature Cardinal — one of several members of the 2004 ...
You’re telling me the same guy who inexplicably
lost the ability to accurately throw a baseball 60
feet, 6 inches, now has the ability to make these throws? To have two throws of that distance, with that accuracy, to nail two ...

Local authorities are reporting that two shots from
a high-powered rifle, reportedly in the shape of Rick
Ankiel’s left arm, were fired from the centerfield warning track last night at Coors Field. No one was fatally injured, but the pride of Willy Taveras and Omar Quintanilla suffered substantial damage. Reports have also shown that several people in the Denver area are in a state of shock.

Rockies. First one was tagging up from 2nd going
to 3rd, and the second one was going for a triple
I don't think very many people have accused
Tony LaRussa of not being creative and open to
new ideas. I mean, we've got the pitcher batting eighth, redefining the way relief pitchers are used, stuff like that. And now, he's showing that he's not bound by convention with his leadoff man. Tonight's lineup, via Bernie : Ludwick 9 Ankiel 8 Pujols 3 Duncan 9 Glaus 5
Most outfielders with extraordinary arms get converted into
pitchers. This is what happens when pitchers get converted
into outfielders. Funny how a guy can’t throw a strike from 60 feet but can throw one from 200 feet.
Rick Ankiel threw out two Rockies from deep
center yesterday. Obviously this was induced by HGH or
some other Performance Enhancing Drug.....otherwise, Rick Ankiel is like that kid from Rookie of the Year.
Rick Ankiel shows off his arm. And it's
a home run.
Rick Ankiel makes two incredible throws.
From last night’s Cards/Rockies game: Rick Ankiel launches
two of the best throws you’ve seen all year.
The second one is pretty ridiculous. Also, I’d like to point out that if Derek Jeter or David Wright sprinted from 2nd to home ...
SOUTH GRAND — It was way late at
night or way too early in the morning —
depending on your disposition — and this was supposed to be a mixer, a posh see-me-see-you party in Miami. But that didn’t stop Rick Ankiel from talking ...
So who skated with MLB's new steroids/HGH amnesty
program? Who will be taken into the witness protection
program? 1. The Royals Jose Guillen will not serve a huge 15 day suspension for HGH. ( Royals Authority ) ...
How about them Cavaliers? What an excited, hard
fought victory over the D-League Miami Heat yesterday… Seriously.
Did you see that Miami line-up? Ricky Davis and Mark Blount are the only guys on that team that resemble NBA players, and that isn’t saying much. Rick Noland of the Medina...
DOWNTOWN — In the eighth inning of a
rather usual July game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cardinals
closer Jason Isringhausen stepped into the box and faced Bucs lefty Joe Beimel . Isringhausen had come in to close out what was a 9-6 ...
Never mind who`s doing well--who`s doing badly?

TOWER GROVE — While we check around the
house to see if anything has been shaken loose,
shaken up or shaken down, here are some riffs from the ballpark: *** When David Eckstein became a Cardinal, the team discussed with him a way to ...
If nothing else, the 2008 Cardinals really do
seem to be an embodiment of their manager's personality.
"Play a hard 9" is his catchphrase, and the Cardinals definitely did that today against the Giants. After being no-hit by Matt Cain through six innings, Albert Pujols broke it up with a double in the top of the seventh. That was what the Cardinals needed, because from there to the
Hey, hey, hey! It's Phat Albert! And he's
going to drive in a run for you. And
he's going to hit you a bomb or two. We'll have some fun now, with Rick and all the gang, Feeding off each other, while we watch that swing. Na, na, na, going to have a good time! (Hey, hey, hey!) Na, na, na, going to have a good time! Na, na, na, going to have a good time! So it only took nine games into
