Here's something that should be extremely interesting to
watch. PBS's American Experience series premieres "Roberto Clemente," a
one-hour documentary about baseball's first Latino superstar. Clemente was not only an outstanding player, but was a committed humanitarian who challenged racial discrimination.

about Roberto Clemente puts a new spin on the
genre. “21,” by Puerto Rican native and current Chicago-based illustrator Wilfred Santiago puts Clemente’s biography into the form of a graphic novel. In anticipation of the book’s release in October 2008, Mr. Santiago was kind enough to answer ten of my questions via e-mail.

it’s reasonably fair to expect Frenchy to put
up OPS+ numbers similar to Clemente through the age
of 31. Even if Frenchy matches Clemente in OPS+ through 31, we can’t expect him to duplicate Clemente’s OPS+ thereafter. The freakish OPS+ numbers Clemente put up after 31 cannot be expected of many human beings.
