I was watching a documentary about Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame outfielder Roberto Clemente, which stated that Clemente was bitter about not being named N.L. MVP after the 1960 season

watch. PBS's American Experience series premieres "Roberto Clemente," a
one-hour documentary about baseball's first Latino superstar. Clemente was not only an outstanding player, but was a committed humanitarian who challenged racial discrimination.
