Say what you will about the Leader of
the Free World, the man knows his baseball: As
for his baseball pick, his first choice to build a team is Chase Utley of the Philadelphia Phillies. "There's nothing better than having a good person up the middle that can hit," said Bush, a former part-owner of the Texas Rangers.
The anniversary of the good Doctor's birth dovetails
nicely into some thoughts I've been kicking around for
a little while. Aside from daydreaming about a Rolen-Halladay lovechild of manliness, my thoughts have turned to Roy Halladay's ultimate legacy. Perhaps it is too early, but I'm afraid he'll never truly be appreciated for the kind of player he is. The greatest culprits of Roy Halladay's ...

Thirty-one years ago today, a blessed child emerged
out of his mother's birthing sac, right arm first,
and the world would never be the same. According to a wank-off Toronto Life article from 2004: Harry Leroy Halladay III was born in 1977 in ...
Casey Blake hit a two-run double to spark
a six-run Indians’ seventh inning, as the Cleveland Indians
and C.C. Sabathia defeated the Toronto Blue Jays and Roy Halladay 6-1 in Cleveland Friday night. The Indians offense was sputtering in an all-to-familiar rut against Halladay, when Blake finally woke up the Tribe bats. Cleveland had managed only three hits entering the seventh inning....
He won't be any worse at the dish
than most Jays. Brad Wilkerson - bargain basement lefty
option has suddenly transformed into Brad Wilkerson - starting right fielder . Vernon Wells won't be in the lineup today, and Wilner reports he could be out for the rest of this series . I think we picked the wrong season to start blogging about the Jays. Anytime Roy Halladay can't throw a strike to ...

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated? This
is bullshit. And it's not so much that even
a Halladay start can't buy this team a break, it's that they go down one run with nine outs left against a fairly shitty bullpen and you're still thinking to ...

Jon Lester faces Roy Halladay tonight as the
Sox and Jays both try to get back to
winning more games than they lose... Ge the preview at The Bottom Line.
Roy Halladay pitched one helluva game tonight, yet
ended up on the short end of the stick.
Three consecutive complete game losses...where once the sounds of people fawning over the Jays echoed, now lie in silence.

Before I get into any recap here, I
have to say that was one of the best
games I’ve seen in a long time. An absolutely brilliant pitching performance by Boston Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester and an equally good one from Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Roy Halladay.
While I was watching last night’s Boston Red
Sox game, I kept saying to myself “here we
go again”. What I mean by this is that the Red Sox are getting great pitching from a starting pitcher only to probably have it wasted because the bats are as cold as the chill that’s running through the air. You really couldn’t fault the bats last night though because Roy Halladay was as equally dominating ...
