The Florida Marlins were once again perplexed by Jamie Moyer in which he allowed 4 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk with 3 strikeouts over 6 innings. Brad Lidge was able to come in last night and toss the anchor over to solidify the Phillies on top of the N.L. East with his 21st consecutive save.

Phillies Eyeing Cain, Blanton: MLB Rumors

See the problem is that one of Philadelphia's best prospects is a catcher, Lou Marson, and the Giants have sort of committed to a long term catcher that should be up fairly soon in Buster Posey. There are two possible scenarios in which I could see this happening, but honestly I would be shocked if either happened. The more ilkely one would be the Phillies essentially send their farm system, ...

umpbump.com found this 7 days ago on www.mlbtraderumors.com [link]

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: MLB, Philadelphia Phillies, Ryan Howard, San Francisco Giants

Ryan Howard homered. Shane Victorino pulled back a homer to save a run and later tripled in a pair of runs to send the game to extra innings. And, of course, the Phillies won on a Jayson Werth single in the 12th inning. Great win for the Phils!

Ryan Howard bashed two runs in yesterday's 4-1 victory over the Cardinals just after hitting what proved to be the game winning homer on Wednesday evening. The Big Guy now stands at 27 home runs on the season. Nobody in baseball has more.

After yesterday's win, a friend of mine told me about the pleasure he got from telling off his buddies who earlier in the season were calling for ...

Walkoff Walk found this 13 days ago on www.the700level.com [link]

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: MLB, Ryan Howard, Philadelphia Phillies

Additionally, I laughed at the fact that teammate and pitcher Brett Myers had allowed more home runs than Howard had hit.
