was going to write this morning as I drove
into work. I had two choices, 1) rant and complain or 2) relax. Seeing as I'm going to the Cubs/Cards game next Saturday with Buck Rampage and don't want to be a mass of frustration....I'm going to relax for now, and so should you....and so should the Cubs. Look, they aren't playing well right now.

The Cubs promoted former Notre Dame star Jeff
Samardzija to Triple-A Iowa, where he'll replace Sean Marshall
in the rotation beginning Tuesday. Samardzija, who signed a $10 million deal in 2007, was 3-5 with a 4.86 ERA at Double-A Tennessee. "His last five outings have been real good," said Oneri Fleita, Cubs vice president of player personnel.
