The Seattle Mariners are declaring peanut-free zones for
two games at Safeco Field — one against the
Minnesota Twins and the other against the Texas Rangers.
Mike Lowell’s 2-run single in the top of
the 12 gave the Red Sox a 2-run lead
and they added another run before holding off the Seattle Mariners 6-3 in front 43,321 at Safeco Field to give themselves a 3-game sweep. The win also keeps them a ½ game behind the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East.
