New York Yankees and Joba Chamberlain got the better
of Josh Beckett and the Boston Red Sox in a 1-0 win in front of 37,744 at Fenway Park. The Red Sox drop to ½ game behind the Rays who are still playing and the Yanks, winners of 7 straight, move to 2 games behind the Red Sox for second place in the AL East.

The Boston Red Sox come into tonight’s game
with the New York Yankees having won 3 straight
games while the Yankees have won 6 straight. It’s setting up to be an interesting series as the Red Sox come into it tied for first with the Tampa Bay Rays while the Yankees sit just 3 games out.
