As knuckleball pitchers, Tim Wakefield and R.A. Dickey
are a part of a small fraternity. Because of
that, Wakefield has set out to help Dickey with everything related to throwing the pitch.
The video clip says it all.

Tim Wakefield has been on a roll as
of late and that roll continued tonight as the
Boston Red Sox offense backed him up with some run support for once in a 12-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles in front of 37,539 fans at Fenway Park.
The Red Sox dropped to 0-5 in Tampa
Bay this season after a putrid offensive effort led
to a 3-1 loss. Rays starter Matt Garza stymied the Sox over seven inning, allowing just one unearned run on five hits to go with three strikeouts. Garza is making Tampa management look like geniouses for the trade that sent Delmon Young to the Twins and Garza to the Rays.
Randy Johnson told the media that his frustrations
of late are due to single inning implosions... we
beg to differ -- Learn more and get a preview of tonight's Sox v D-backs game at The Bottom Line blog.

Boston Red Sox starter Tim Wakefield pitches to
the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first inning of a

The Boston Red Sox head into today’s travel/off
day on a high after taking 2-of-3 and 2
in-a-row from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Last night’s pitching matchup, sponsored by old age homes across America, didn’t disappoint as 40-somethings Tim Wakefield and Randy Johnson showed the youngsters out there that they can still pitch.
Sometimes he's Shakey Wakey. Sometimes he's Tim the

Matt Garza’s fastball was just a little bit
better then Tim Wakefield’s knuckleball as the Tampa Bay
Rays beat the Boston Red Sox 3-1in front of 31,112 mostly bandwagon fans at Tropicana Field. The loss is the 4th in a row for the Red Sox and gives Tampa a 3½ game lead in the AL East.
Grant Balfour, though he walked Manny Ramirez to
load the bases in the top of the eighth,
also got himself out of that sticky situation. Balfour induced a groundout from Mike Lowell to shortstop to end the inning. That keeps the score at 2-1, heading to the bottom of the eighth. Jason Varitek stays in to catch, with Craig Hansen on the mound in relief of Tim Wakefield.

The Red Sox have lost 3 in a

Tim Wakefield is looking a liiiiiiiitle rough these
