I just love this post exploring the "common wisdom"
that red-shirt Enterprise crew members are most likely to die . The surprising finding? Red-shirt crew members are much less likely to die if Kirk "meets" a woman. If this guy were a baseball fan, he'd be a true sabermetrician.

Thanks to a three-run homer off the bat
of Kevin Kouzmanoff, the Padres managed to come back
Tuesday night and win. Also, Trevor Hoffman nailed down another save. Now that he's his old, reliable self again, the national media has gone back to ignoring him.
