June 16 --- MVN Soccer: Group C, who
play their final matches on Tuesday night, includes FRANCE,
ITALY, NETHERLANDS, and ROMANIA. So, you have the teams from the 2006 World Cup Final, the number one seed (Netherlands), and another great team (Romania). --- Yes, a true G-O-D…and even if someone wins Tuesday's FRANCE v ITALY match, it's possible neither would go through to the quarterfinals.

August 10 --- US Soccer: On Sunday night,
the USA Men battled the Netherlands to a 2-2
tie in their second match of Group B play. --- The Dutch took an early lead, but the U.S. responded with Sacha Kljestan's goal in the 64th minute, followed by a goal from Jozy Altidore eight minutes later. --- USA and Nigeria are now tied atop the group. and salvaged a 2-2 draw for the Netherlands against the USA on Sunday, keeping Dutch hopes alive for advancing. --- The USA Men are now tied with Nigeria atop Group B after two matches; the 3rd and final matchday of the first stage will see the two meet on Wednesday (also, Netherlands v Japan).

EURO 2008: Seedings for the final draw for
the 2008 European Championship in Austria and Switzerland. Those
two have automatic berths as hosts, and the previous winner Greece will join them in Pot One with the qualifying rounds' top seed (who is The Netherlands). Draw will take place on December 2, concurrently with separate ceremony to crown winner of the Ballon d'Or, now presumed to be Kaka.
