25-11 start to the season, will miss eight weeks
with what his agent says is a subluxation of his left kneecap.
You'll never look at Lamar Odom the same.

Trade discussions have involved the Lakers, Wolves, Pacers
and possibly a fourth team. The report says that
the Lakers would get Garnett, while the Pacers would land Los Angeles forward Lamar Odom and center Andrew Bynum. The Wolves would likely acquire a lottery pick and young players. Another team would also have to be involved to make the deal work financially.

Where do you think the Lakers will finish in
the Western Conference playoff seeding this year? While there were plenty of worthy opponents last year, the conference has gotten even tougher. There are low seeds in the West who could have first round homecourt advantage if they were placed in the East. That being said, where do the Lakers ...
Awful stuff… and you have to feel for
the kid, he was doing so well this year.
Here’s hoping it isn’t too serious… (vid clip)
The Sacramento Kings' Kevin Martin should take the

Every time I watch Andrew Bynum extend himself
and dunk the ball or block a shot; he
reminds me of a cartoon I watched as a kid called Gigantor. Gigantor was a space age robot controlled by a 12 year old boy name Jimmy Sparks, and he was bigger then big, stronger then strong and more if you listen to the song. This is not to say that Andrew Bynum is robotic, because he’s not, but whenever ...

Where's Jermaine O'Neal? Still a member of the
Indiana Pacers. The Lakers and Pacers have stalled on

I have always believed that statistics are a
very powerful tool that can be used to help
us understand basketball (and many other things as well)--but statistics are a tool, not a perfect, all-knowing force, and a tool is only useful if it is the right one for a given job and if it is wielded skillfully by a knowledgeable person; a construction worker using a jackhammer would not do a good ...
(HOLY FUCK Gasol part at the bottom) So
I tuned into Pistons/Lakers last night for one reason
alone: To watch Amir Johnson, who finally has his spot in the rotation. He lived up to it, looking like he belonged and regularly wowing myself and others. ...
In today's edition of "Analysts Speeding Toward the
Far Reaches of Absurdity," popular (in corners) statistician David
Berri tells us Andrew Bynum is better than Kobe Bryant right now . (Hat tip: TrueHoop .) He states (hopefully sarcastically) Bynum ...

The last time the Lakers visited the FedEx
Forum, Kobe Bryant left Memphis fans in awe as
he tallied 60 points, making 20 of his 37 field goal attempts. The Lakers needed every one of thoese points, en route to a 121-119 victory. This time around, it’s a different story. Bryant is averaging nearl 27 points per game — which translates to a 5 point dropoff from last season. Bryant hasn’t ...
