The Cleveland Cavaliers appear to have beaten the
NBA's annual trade buzzer to get LeBron James some
of the fresh help he's been openly craving. In a three-way trade with Chicago and Seattle that has been submitted for league approval, NBA front-office sources say that Cleveland will come away with four new teammates for James, headlined by Ben Wallace from the Bulls and sharpshooter Wally ...
After spending most of their leftover cash last
off-season on Ben Wallace, the Bulls took it easy.
The reason for that is because they have contract extensions coming up for Luol Deng and Ben Gordon, so they are holding off on spending too much money right now. They did sign veteran forward Joe Smith (Hello Minnesota!) to possibly start at the power forward position, but that looks less likely as.

With the Bulls in their annual early-season spiral,
Scott Skiles has started to panic decided to play
with his starting lineup and rotation. Tyrus Thomas , who started the first six games, opened Thursday's loss to the Suns on the bench in place of ...

There is no denying Ron’s positive effect on
Queensbridge This interview was conducted this summer in Long
Island as Ron was getting ready for the season–just days after the referee gambling scandal hit the press. (more…) ...
Serious trade talk typically doesn't begin until January
in the NBA, but logic would suggest general manager
John Paxson is ready to explore ways to trade Ben Wallace. The Bulls would have to pay a premium, but one positive is that his contract was front-loaded, which means from the original $60 million deal, he's owed $28.5 million over the next two seasons
As we digest the sheer amount of unmitigated
wasted money exchanging hands in the Ben Wallace-Larry Hughes
deal, we shouldn't ignore what Sonics GM Sam Presti was able to do over two days.
How many busts have there been in the
last 10 years? Way too many and this year's
draft shouldn't be any different.
Nice story here about the Pistons' unwillingness to
get all chummy with their friend Ben Wallace during
this playoff series.
Everyone's favorite former Warrior naturally tops the list.
Last season, the Cleveland Cavaliers eliminated the Detroit
Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals by relying on
excellent team defense, strong rebounding and the brilliant all-around play of LeBron James. Several of the faces have changed in Cleveland--and things have not always gone smoothly since the big trade --but that tried and tested formula resulted in an 89-73 home victory over ...
This weekend, I posited that certain captains would
have trouble getting respected as such. At the same
time, though, you've got to admire their willingness to step up. Who knows, maybe Amare Stoudemire or Stephen Jackson will find stability through their new role. The flip side of this would have to be Ben Wallace...
The trade of Ben Wallace has had an
interesting ramification for the Steve and Barry's who endorses
a line of clothing for the chain. Wallace is unable to wear his signature "Big Ben" shoes because the colors of the shoes are designed for the Chicago Bulls not his new team the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It's never easy watching players regress, and this
season some rather big names experienced significant downticks in
production. Two of them were Chicago Bulls when the season began (one has since been traded), two were key performers in the Greatest Circus on Earth, and one is a well-paid benchwarmer (thanks Kevin McHale).
Scottie Pippen assesses the current Bulls roster.
It makes Chris Duhon a starter. He's 4-20
from the field in this era of good feelings,
and in 31 minutes against Orlando he scored one point. It makes the times where he's out there with Ben Wallace seem self-defeating. And while we'd all like plenty ...
playing the season opener right now, and the
Nats hold a 2-1 lead over the Bravos headed
into the top of the 8th. Odalis Perez (why does John Miller insist upon saying Perez like he does? Pear-ez) pitched 5 innings of one run ball! Holy crap, now there's a shocker. First game in the Nats new digs...... almost. The editorial staff at The Legend went to the preseason O's/Nats game Saturday.....
The Detroit Pistons swear up and down that
they are a better team this year without Ben
Wallace, who signed with the Chicago Bulls prior to this season. On Wednesday night, the Bulls beat the Pistons 106-88 even though Detroit had its full complement of players while Chicago was without the services of Wallace (sinus infection) and Andres Nocioni (foot injury).
Ron Artest isn't trying to be funny but
he's hilarious. He talks about the brawl, fighting Ben
Wallace, and "the Pistons owner". Video courtesy of YouTube
