I've waited on posting my thoughts on the
topic, only because I was certain that after the
Becky Hammon "controversy" that came about with her joining the Russian National team, people would soon turn their patriotic wrath against Chris Kaman. It never happened. So in case you weren't aware, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-native has been lighting up the courts for the German team alongside Dirk.
Germany, with NBAers Nowitzki (31 pts) and Kaman
(20 pts) took out nemesis New Zealand in the
Olympic qualifying tournament last night. The Tall Blacks were led by former NBA sharp-shooting guard Kirk Penney, who scored 29 points.

Points in the Paint asks if Camby is
a Consolation Prize for losing Brand. Sure, Camby is
not a 20 and 10 guy, but getting him for the right to switch places in the second round with a team that is not really any worse than you in 2010 only brings up thoughts of conspiracy theory in my head. I mean, are there some hot second round prospects for 2010 that are worth someone who had 9.1 and 13.1?
Rundown of Day 3 (7/16) slate of games
in Athens: Germany 89, New Zealand 71: Not surprisingly
Germany's gameplan was to establish Dirk & Kaman in the post. Dirk was deadly with his turnarounds all-game, threw in a few 3pts. as well (3/6 on 3pts.). ...
In a salary cap dump reminiscent of the
infuriating trades in some fantasy leagues the Denver Nuggets
sent All-Star center and perennial block leader Marcus Camby to the Los Angeles Clippers for the right to swap second round picks.
Defense and rebounding win the day. Not a
surprise on a team led by Mike Dunleavy. Marcus
Camby is a Clipper--with a major chapeau to bballanalyst, who was apparently breaking down the Denver scenarios just as the trade went through. ...
Far from a baptism of fire, New German
Chris Kaman easily swept through his first international contest
, against Cape Verde today in the Olympic qualifiers in Athens. Caveman had 10 and 10 in 20 minutes, and the Germans won by 36. Sadly, with that, Cape Verde has been eliminated from both this tournament and Olympic contention. Joining them among the ranks of the cast aside are Lebanon and ...
With about 24 hours until the Olympic Qualifying
Tournament starts, lets have a look at the teams
and the chances for each team to make it to the big goal - the Olympics in Beijing. New Zealand and Cap Verde will tip off the tournament at 1pm local time. Both teams are in the same group as Germany and should not play a big role in the battle for the last spots to go to the Olympics. At ...

After a ridiculous number of Google searches for

It was about a week ago that Baron
Davis decided to leave the Warriors for the "greener"
pastures of Los Angeles. Oh, it was to the Clippers, not the Lakers. At the time it seemed like a minor coup for the Clips -- a chance for them to be something ...
After several key acquisitions and releases, the Los
Angeles Clippers seem to be turning things around in
a positive direction. Here is how I view the new and improved Los Angeles Clippers: PG Baron Davis www.rawsportsblog.com
At least a blind man wasn't screwed over.
Wow . Baron Davis has to feel like an
idiot today. I feel bad for him. And the Clippers? Well, they have...uh...an oft-injured big-money point guard who can dish to Chris Kaman. Also, when did Kevin McHale ...
With the expected signing of Baron Davis, things
were looking up. But now Brand is stalling on
contract renegotiations, and Kaman is focused on playing for Germany in the Olympics. Typically for the Clippers, at the end of what should have been a ...

Should American athletes play for other countries in
the Olympics. SoCal Sports Hub argues that Chris Kaman
isn't doing the correct thing by playing for Germany in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Clippers center Chris Kaman could be headed to
Beijing to compete in this summer's Olympics -- as
a German. The 26-year-old Michigan native obtained German citizenship and will play for Germany's national basketball team alongside Dallas Mavericks ...
