The Golden State Warriors have matched the Los Angeles Clippers three-year, $9 million offer sheet for guard Kelenna Azubuike, multiple media sources are reporting. This news comes not long after reports that Golden State did not plan to match, and instead signed Maurice Evans. Signing Azubuike, 24, a well-liked player in the Bay Area, makes the Warriors younger as well as keeping him from the Clippers. Kelenna will cost more to keep than the three-year, $6.4 million deal that Evans was reported to have received. Early last season, Azubuike started against the Clippers, and had 33 points and eight rebounds with no turnovers in the loss. Six days later, his 27 points and 11 rebounds were not enough to beat Dallas.

In the ARIZONA REPUBLIC, the Associated Press reports "Greece, which stunned the United States in basketball two years ago, will join the Americans at the Olympics in a strong Group B, which now includes all three medalists from the last world championships. Germany also was drawn into Group B after clinching the last available spot in Beijing by beating Puerto Rico 96-82 Sunday behind 32 points from Dallas Mavericks All-Star Dirk Nowitzki in the third-place game at the Olympic qualifying tournament. Greece locked up its spot Saturday by beating Puerto Rico in the semifinals. The Greeks knocked off the Americans 101-95 in the semifinals of the 2006 world championships before losing to Spain in the finals."

Oklahoma City has signed restricted free agent guard C.J. Miles to an offer sheet. Oklahoma city general manager Sam Presti announced the move on Friday. Under terms of the NBA's collective bargaining agreement, Miles' current team, the Utah Jazz, has seven days to match the multiyear offer. Miles was the 34th player chosen in the 2005 draft, selected by Utah out of Skyline High School in Dallas.

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard Tyronn Lue and forward Malik Allen, giving new coach Scott Skiles two more veterans to work with. The team did not reveal terms of either contract. The 31-year-old Lue played for Atlanta and Dallas last season, averaging 5.8 points and 1.5 assists in 50 games. The 6-foot guard was drafted out of Nebraska with the 23rd pick in the 1998 draft.

I too saw pride that was Quentin Richardson cheering on his teammates from the sideline in their game against the Spurs. I also saw power umm, allow me to present you with Exhibit A: the Lakers' Dwayne Mitchell's biceps, Exhibit B: Nate Robinson's calf muscles and Exhibit C: the rim shaking violently after a putback dunk by the Mavs' Gerald Green. And as for a bad (bleep) mother, nobody fits that bill like Houston's Joey Dorsey. He's like Ben Wallace and Arnold Schwarzenegger's lovechild.
