Danny Ferry takes a lot of heat. Much
of it is well-deserved, but he deserves a hand
for the contract that he and Daniel Gibson signed yesterday. Details have now been released about the deal- $20.8 million over 5 years. That is a very cap-friendly number. It is less than Andy Varejao’s deal, and about...
I need an excuse to post this video.

In getting Boobie, the Cavs have signed the
athletic shooter and running mate that LeBron James needs
to pass the ball to when he gets double-teamed or when defenses collapse on him when he charges through the middle.
Give it up for the links!
The Cavs have re-signed Daniel 'Boobie' Gibson to
an undisclosed multi-year deal. NBA.com : "Daniel has been
an important part of our Cavs family the last two seasons. He has worked to grow as a player and we love his passion for winning and the game itself. He's been great off the court as well, and is exactly the kind of person we're proud to have with us," said Cleveland general manager Danny.
With Daniel Gibson, locked up (5 years, $20.8
million), the focus turns to Delonte West, the versatile
guard acquired by the Cavs last year in a trade deadline maneuver. At the time of the trade, most of the press focused on Wally Szczerbiak and Ben Wallace, but the player with the most on-court impact actually proved to be West.
The Cavaliers have locked up one of their
two restricted free agents, as Daniel Gibson has reportedly
signed with the Cavs (from the Plains Dealer). The terms of the deal have yet to be announced, but as one of the younger members of the Cavs who delivers consistently while healthy, securing Gibson to a long term deal was a top priority for the Cavs.

Wish I could report the Cavs being on
the verge of a blockbuster trade or free-agent signing,
but the only thing that seems likely to happen soon is the signing of restricted free-agent guard Daniel Gibson.
