No matter the circumstances, a showdown between the
Dallas Mavericks and San Antionio Spurs is always a
big game. Dallas even played like it was a big game for most of the first half, scoring big baskets and getting some solid help off the bench. Then, things started to fall apart on both sides of the ball in the second half.

A few weeks back Scott was invited to
debate whether Cleveland or Philadelphia was the more tortured
sports town. I suppose after tonight Philly fans will demand a recount. Maybe this is one of those wins. Maybe this is one of the defining moments in a season. Perhaps the Cavaliers will look back on this finish...

Devin Harris is in his third season in
the league and is often one of the more
overlooked players on the Mavericks. Heck, you could even say one of the more overlooked players who has started 59 games on a 60+ win team.

The Wolves couldn't quite comeback all of the
way against the Mavericks, and Dallas prevailed 109-103. Al
Jefferson played what most would say was his best game as a Timberwolf and Craig Smith played strong off the bench, but the fourth quarter free throw shooting of Dirk Nowitzki and the clutch play of Devin Harris and Jason Terry proved to be too much for the 2-10 Wolves to overcome.
