 Everyone *hearts* Doc Rivers
Everyone *hearts* Doc Rivers
Doc Rivers has had a wild ride in Boston. He’s 180 degrees away from where he was last year. A year ago, Chuck and I did a call in show where the big debate was whether the Celtics should extend Doc for a year to give him some security heading into this year…. and we were both called crazy for saying he deserved one more year after the 2006-07 debacle. Now everyone loves Doc Rivers....

“He’s Going To Have A Breakout Year”
"What if I beg? Will that bring old Tony back?" (Boston Globe Photo) Let’s hope so. I’m not sure what can be said about Tony Allen that hasnt’ been said. He’s getting $5 mil. over 2 years… and he’s either going to be a steal or a bona fide bust by the time the contract is over. I don’t see any real middle ground, because we’ve ...

C's owners displayed trust - and Ainge, Rivers delivered

So We DID Offer A Deal To Maggette
Danny’s denials be damned… the Celtics HAVE made an offer to Corey Maggette. Not only that, The Globe reports he got a call from Doc Rivers. “I talked to Doc… I’m not going to hold them up. I know they are still looking at James Posey. But I’m still weighing my options.” As for his potential reserve role with the Celtics: “I don’t mind. Doc Rivers' 15 Year Old Son Commits To Florida
"He really knows how to play," Rivals.com recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer says. "He's got a maturity level to his game that you don't see in a lot of college players. He's got the size and the skill to make all the plays and he's a true combo guard that excels at both the point and shooting guard positions. He's one of the best guards, if not the best guard, that I've seen in the 2011 class."

And to everyone who dogged us for sticking with Pierce, Danny and Doc, and trading for Ray

Did Rivers Outcoach the Zen Mistress?
It is simplistic to conclude, as many did, that Rivers outcoached Jackson in the series, thus preventing Jackson from earning his 10th ring and surpassing the total of Red Auerbach, the Celtics' patriarch, who died in 2006. Outcoached is one of the ...
