SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The remaining, active members of
the Syracuse University men's basketball team, already lacking depth
and experienced leadership since the season-ending ACL injures to juniors Andy Rautins and Eric Devendorf, are doing their best to self-inflict their own season-ending ACL injuries to avoid playing in the current season any longer. Freshmen Donte Greene, Jonny Flynn, Scoop ...
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, (and all
of you bloggers still in your parents basement walking
around in your undies) welcome to the 2008 Syracuse Online Bloggers Awards (SOB).
Eric Devendorf has torn the anterior cruciate ligament
in his left knee and will be out for
the season. He is scheduled to have surgery on the knee, though no date has been set yet for the procedure. Devendorf injured the knee in the early moments of ...
If you see one film about Jim Boeheim
and debilitating leg injuries this year, make it this
one.
Well, to answer your question, THIS is how
you score 125 points, beat the other team by
50 and still lose.
In that interview with Katz in yesterday's links,
Boeheim tells Andy that “he firmly believed Devendorf was
going to declare for the NBA draft after this season, but now he'll have to stay to rehab his knee.” Wait…ERIC Devendorf? Considering early entry into the draft? The NBA draft? Not the army one, right?

Its as bad as we feared - Eric
Devendorf has a torn ACL . The injuries are
really piling up, Rautins, Brennan McBride and now Devendorf. Hopefully his knee will heal and he can make a full recovery, get well devo. The remaining healthy guys better work on their conditioning, they are going to see a lot of minutes.
It was supposed to be a memorable season

You may have noticed when the recent early
preseason college basketball polls started trickling in, the Big
East was well represented. A plethora of conference teams were scattered all over the rankings, a bunch even warranting top ten mentions. But where was Syracuse? Between the development of Flynn, Onuaku and Harris and the return of Eric Devendorf and Andy Rautins, surely we're worthy ...
A million opinions. And so it is that
I offer up a dissenting view on the Eric
Devendorf injury. Please do not misunderstand me here, I am not happy that Devo's season is over after Saturday's injury, however I'm not exactly upset about it either. ...
An inconsistent start including two losses at home
to Atlantic 10 teams made Syracuse Orange fans wonder:
Is this team destined for another disappointing season? A win on the road at Virginia boosted the confidence of this young but talented ...
Syracuse fans have missed the warm embrace of
Eric Devendorf ever since he went down earlier this
season with a torn A.C.L. We were told that his services would no longer be available to us for the remainder of the season. However, there's a giant loophole in that statement. All they were saying was that Devendorf wasn't going to play for US this season.
College Basketball always begins around November 5th or
so which means college basketball is approximately 189 days
away. Everyday I will have a new reason to look forward to the 2008-2009 season. I started this countdown about 205 days before the ...
