Gilbert Arenas had quite the turbulent 07-08.....to the
point where some desired for him to no longer
be part of the Washington Wizards. But now, he's signed and will be back in DC for another six years. Was it a good move on the part of Ernie Grunfeld? I think so, and here's why I'm willing to take the risk.

Is it that bad for the Wizards to
essentially stand pat....in resigning Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison?
Neither of the two, especially Arenas, provide any guarantees for the franchise to get past the 2nd round of the playoffs, much less in the playoffs. However, getting rid of a star like Gilbert Arenas would be a crucial mistake.

Good, he deserves it. But will the Wizards have enough money left over to give Gilbert Arenas what he wants? Probably so. Any left for Roger Mason, or a quality free agent? We will see.
