After the Warriors shocked the world and the
Mavericks, I made a friendly wager with gurdflavor
on the Warriors-Jazz series. Thanks to the majority of those of you who voted, my penalty involved a trip to the barbershop after the W's ran out of steam. I settled up on Friday; here's the video evidence.
The big news in Oakland tonight: the impending
departure of Baron Davis. Because Baron's opting out of
his contract and signing with the Clippers, the Warriors will soon have nothing to show for their top star but memories of last year's playoff run . Unfortunately, losing talent for pennies on the dollar is nothing new for Warriors fans—it happens on a regular basis. Don't believe ...
Kevin McHale and Danny Ainge might be fools,
but KG and his agent sure aren't. KG TO
THE WARRIORS!
Baron Davis dunks on Andrei Kirilenko in Game
3 of the Warriors-Jazz series. Mike Tirico goes crazy.
Thanks to The FanHouse.
Well this is unexpected. This morning, some were
lamenting the lazy NBA free agent session ahead. Tonight,
Golden State talisman Baron Davis becomes the second unexpected star to opt out of a high-dollar contract to taste freedom, reports Geoff Lepper of the Contra Costa Times and Marc Stein of ESPN.com . That Davis would eventually forgo his $17.6 million guarantee for a ride on the open ...
"...during the pitiful loss to the Warriors at
the Garden the chants of “FIRE-ISIAH” started...It should have
been followed up with a chant of “JEFF-VAN-GUNDY” because Dolan should re-hire the old coach...As long as Isiah is the coach of the Knicks they will never be a contending team, so the time is now for the Knicks to make a move before it is too late."
Oh. My. God. After 13 years of missing
the playoffs, the Warriors shocked the world by squeaking
into the 8th seed position with a 42 and 40 record on the last day of the regular season! It's only fitting, I suppose, that we get matched up with ...
Spread the word. NBA fans of every team
we would appreciate your help in spreading the word
about the vile attempt of Clayton Bennett and his cronies to steal our team. Save Our Sonics! Save Our Sonics!! Big Chris http://www.sonicscentral.com
Ballhype's NBA Festivus has brought you plenty of
reasons you should not be optimistic about your favorite
team heading into 2007-08. We already made bad jokes about The Atlantic and the Southeast , the Central , the Southwest and the Northwest . Today, sweet sweet closure with the Pacific. Last October, you could've argued the Pacific -- top to bottom -- was the deepest division in ...
Last year, Atma did a Warriors preview for
the '06-'07 season for NBA Blog Preview and we're
doing it all over again this year. Check out the Warriors preview below complete with the standard questions. If you missed the blog previews for the other ...
ESPN is reporting that Chris Webber is ending
his comeback with the Golden State Warriors. At 35,
Webber's body just isn't holding up. Webber is among a short list of legends to average 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists a game.
Today, I left my house at around 8:30
to pick up some donuts. When I got home,
I found that Baron Davis had opted out of his final contract with Golden State...
I spent soooo much time finding all these
photos, my only reward will be your Up votes....
Q: You were a 4 in college, and
now you do so many things, even guarding point
guards. How has that happened? A: I'm just going hard all the time, trying to get better at all the different phases of the game. Coach Johnson, even before he was the head coach, he has been in charge of my development. The main thing has been to keep the attitude that you are humble and need to improve.

Best game I've ever been to. Best Warrior
game in the last 13 years. The crowd was
absolutely nuts tonight. We were just as loud, if not louder than the game on Friday. We had to sustain the energy level in the arena for 48 minutes, not the 36 ...
Mark Cuban sued the guy on the left
for rockin' out I love Mark Cuban. Seriously, he
brought my second all-time favorite sports franchise out of the utter doldrums of its respective league and made it into a prenniel winner, a contender. This fact ...
Chris Webber's unlikely but fast-moving return to the
Golden State Warriors is on course to be completed
by Tuesday, according to sources close to the negotiations. Barring an unexpected change of heart, sources said, Webber will accept the invitation from former coach Don Nelson and former teammate Chris Mullin to come back to the team with whom he won NBA Rookie of the Year honors in ...
