been dead for 20 years. He suffered a heart
attack 20 years ago today while warming up for a pickup basketball game. At LSU, he averaged 44.2 points a game over his three-year career and was an NBA All-Star, averaging 24.2 points a game. He retired in 1980 after a leg injury made it impossible for him to play at his desired level.
