Jashaun Agosto, a Seattle kid who was on the news one day, ended up being on YouTube. A couple million views later, he is a star. He works out every day from 4-8 p.m. That is crazy. He is clearly dedicated to his basketball. He just works, and works, and works. Between his legs, easy. Behind his back left and right, easy. Behind the back and through the legs at the same time, easy. Behind the back and through the legs in every way, also known as the spider, makes it look easy. Spider while walking, easy. Two balls dribbling, easy. Two balls dribbling between the legs, easy. Two balls between the legs and behind the back, while walking, easy. I could just go on and on. The scary thing is, his dad doesn't even push him. Everything Jashaun does, is his own decision. Jashaun does always go to his dad for guidance to make him better though. This kid is also ripped. He does 200 pushups, 200 situps and 150 one-leg squats before bed every night. He plays 2 on 1 with his older brother and cousin. ...

Los Angeles Laker coach Phil Jackson alluded to the point that he felt Pau Gasol's appearance on CSI: Miami could have contributed to his recent hamstring injury. When pressed for an explanation, Jackson offered the theory that all the standing around that Gasol did on the set caused his legs to stiffen and tighten up, and when his part called for him to pull a person from a car, he could have been injured then. After viewing Gasol's small piece on the show, Jackson surmised that Pau would be better off sticking with his night job, and after witnessing the clip myself, I am inclined to agree. His talents are much better suited to the hardwood as his return from an 11 game absence can surely attest. For two teams that are supposed to be the NBA favorites, the past two games have left the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers looking pretty ordinary. In Boston the home loss to the Atlanta Hawks can be pretty much summed up by a lack of rebounding on both ends. The younger, more athletic Hawks just beat up the Celtics on the boards. The mystery lies in this question, how do the long, experienced Celtics allow themselves to be out rebounded on their home floor? Good thing they didn't have to search long to find the answer. It basically boiled down to a lack of attention to basic fundamentals, namely blocking out opponents when the ball was in the air. Coach Doc Rivers basically said as much as he watched his players continuously beaten to the ball by the quicker Hawks. Although Boston had a discernible height advantage the obvious difference in athleticism was staggering.
