is the best feeling in the world. But over the past several years, the ways in which GMs utilize these massive amounts of expiring money has ...

Or was it Coach Rautins lack of "communication"
that was to blame for the rift between Dalembert
and Team Canada.
The Sixers have yet to take care of
their two restricted free agent guards, Andre Iguodala and
Lou Williams, but they are still working to fill out their roster, signing guard Royal Ivey to a 2 year contract. Ivey spent last season with the Milwaukee Bucks..... Of course, Ivey is a more well know for his "nut-punching" abilities. Click to see what he did last year to Aaron Gray of the Bulls....

Phil Jasner reports the Sixers have opened discussions
with Lou Williams on an extension. There have been
rumors circulating that the Warriors are interested in Lou, so it would behoove the Sixers to get an extension done before someone signs him to a ...
The First Three Weeks of 2008-09 Now that
we've had a little time to watch free agency
unfold, along with the usual accompaniment of trades, let's look at some of the key moves and how they impact the teams involved. Matthew Gordon. July 22, 2008. ...

Maurice Cheeks listened to the litany of charges

of surprise. The 76ers' center, recently dismissed from the Canadian National Team in the midst of an Olympic qualifying tournament in Athens, ...
(Sports Network) - There are many days left,

Every offseason and free agency period, there are
teams and players who come out smelling like roses.
This season is no different. Let’s look at the winners of this summer this far… Winners - James Posey, Chris Paul and the Hornets, ...

The Golden State Warriors have some cap space
to play with, so they are honing in on
a Sixers guard who is a restricted free agent. No, they don't want Andre Iguodala, but, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, they apparently are looking into signing Louis Williams to an offer sheet. While the Sixers have publicly said they would match any offer sheet given to either Williams or Iguodala....
3. Memphis' third 'lottery' pick No general manager

Over the last 12 months, Wallace has been accused of everything from handing the Lakers the Western Conference crown to getting swindled by Kevin ...
Elton Brand signed his big contract with Philadelphia
earlier in the week, and now must suit up
for quarter-final two-on-two basketball! It might not be Federer vs. Nadal in the Wimbledon Final, but an interesting duo awaits Mr. Brand Name.
It doesn't always work this way, but it's
interesting to note that the Clippers, Sixers and Nuggets
just (kind of) participated in a blockbuster, three-team, three-player trade that took about 19 months to complete. When Philadelphia sent Iverson ...
We are deep into the Sixers off-season, and
thus far most of the conversation has been about
the Elton Brand signing , the Andre Iguodala contract situation and the 76ers summer league squad . So it got me thinking, what about Louis Williams ? There hasn’t been much talk about the fans’ feelings regarding his future with the team and his contract situation. Williams hasn’t ...
Review of Philly's chances in the Eastern Conference

What’s taking so long to sign Andre Iguodala?
His take… I’m sure everyone wants to know what’s
going on with my contract situation. Everything is kinda in slow motion right now, which is for the most part normal for all restricted free agents. Teams come in and out of play each day and my agent and I are taking our time to see how things develop with the Sixers and
Canada is currently playing in the FIBA Olympic
qualifier in Greece, trying to qualify for the Bejing
Olympics. Coming into the tournament, the biggest star on their roster, and only NBA player, was not Steve Nash, but rather Philadelphia 76ers center, Samuel Dalembert. Last year Dalembert took the steps needed to gain Canadian citizenship so that he could play for the national team.
Man, the Clippers ruined restricted free agency for
everybody! :(
The 0-2 record doesn't mean much....but Wizards fans
can't exactly be pleased with the "veteran" qualities that
Nick Young has brought to the table in Vegas this year. We all expect him to show more experience in the summer league.
We don't expect him to fill Elton Brand's
huge shoes, but in wishing Marcus Camby the best
of luck with his new club, here's a highlight reel of what Marcus does best.
Philly outrebounded the Wiz 41-29. They grabbed 17
offensive rebounds and scored a ton of second-chance points.
That pretty much sums it all up. On the bright side, Andray Blatche and Dominic McGuire looked pretty good out there, and ...

This off-season has been a star-studded event more
so than any other off-season in recent memory. You
have guys that are perennial All-Stars and home town favorites moving. Who would have expected Baron Davis to be moving before the off-season started? I certainly couldn't imagine him in any other uniform besides the Warriors, but all of a sudden he is wearing Clipper red and ...
