Would The Real Sacramento Kings Fans Please Stand Up?

   Inspired By Uninspiring Comments
Formerly known as "bamboozled" on the Sacramento Bee comment blogs, I've decided to further develop some of the previous arguments and set things straight—especially after the recent garbage written about the Sacramento Kings by other Bleacher so-called reporters.
The most recent article written before mine was written by a Portland Trailblazers fan, so it was no surprise that he had no clue about the Kings and predicted that Sheldon Williams and Shareef Abdur-Rahim would start.
Kings Have a Really Good Shot for the Eighth Spot: The Clips Will Have a Rough Time
Call me crazy, but I really see the Clips, Denver, and maybe even the Warriors slipping a little bit as they try to get used to the changes.
I really don’t see how Camby is going to make the Clips better. I love B-Davis, but the Clips are banking on some really old players. B-Davis is 29, Camby is 34, J-Will is 32, T-Thomas is 31, and Mobley is 32. What they're really ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NBA, Sacramento Kings

Ron Artest vs. Caron Butler: Who Would You Rather Have By Your Side?

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the NBA Gauntlet site to participate in this post's poll.
Ron vs. Caron
They are both 28 years old and injury-prone, spent two years in college, have been traded a couple of times, and are members of high-powered trios. Ron Artest joins Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming this season, while Caron Butler continues to play with Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison.
They each also rank among the league-leaders in steals, although Artest is more heralded for his defense.
They each have a somewhat menacing appearance, with Artest sporting large muscles and words shaved in his head, and Butler showing off some ink of a skull on his arm.
These two players have much in common, but their names are not among the similarities.
Ron is short for Ronald, from Queensbridge, NY. He says he grew up on the streets and always follows that code of honor. No one, including fans, may disrespect him or his friends.
Caron is Mr. Butler’s middle name. ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NBA, Ron Artest, Caron Butler, Washington Wizards, Sacramento Kings

Sacramento Kings: 2008-09 Season Prediction

With the Pacific Division Chapter of my NBA 2009 Season Prediction Series coming to a close, it comes time to analyze a currently rebuilding franchise—the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings used to be the kings of the Pacific—no pun intended—winning the division two consecutive years in 2002 and 2003. In 2002, the Kings advanced to the Western Conference Finals before being eliminated by the eventual champion Los Angeles Lakers.
Since that point, the Kings have been sliding down a slippery slope. Sound familiar?
Think back to the 2000 Western Conference Finals when the Portland Trail Blazers lost to the eventual champion Lakers in seven games. After that point, the Blazers fell deeper and deeper into the bottom rungs of the Western Conference, and the "Jail-Blazers Era" began.
Currently, only one player from the Kings' 2002 team, Bobby Jackson, is on Sacramento's roster. In the 2005 offseason, the Kings traded Jackson to the Memphis Grizzlies for SG Bonzi Wells. This past ...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NBA, Sacramento Kings

Suns trade G Strawberry to Rockets (AP)

The Phoenix Suns traded guard D.J. Strawberry to the Houston Rockets on Monday for rookie guard Sean Singletary. "Sean gives us depth at the point guard spot," Suns general manager Steve Kerr said. "We like his instincts and his ability to run a team. He also puts a lot of pressure on the ball." Singletary was the 42nd overall pick in the 2008 draft by the Sacramento Kings, who quickly sent him along...

Find more top sports news, videos, and blogs on BallHype: NBA, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, D.J.
