Two more strikes against Howard Schultz in his long-shot attempt to void his sale of the former SuperSonics and undo their move to Oklahoma City. U.S. District Judge Marsha Pechman ruled Wednesday that the NBA can intervene in Schultz's lawsuit. She also denied Schultz's motion to split the trial into two separate phases: a liability phase and, if needed, a remedy phase. The trial has been scheduled for June 15. The lawsuit filed in April by Schultz, the Starbucks Corp.

Forward Donyell Marshall won't be making the move to Oklahoma City with the Seattle SuperSonics. The 14-year NBA veteran was waived Wednesday by the Oklahoma City franchise, which still hasn't been renamed after its relocation last month. Marshall was acquired by the franchise from Cleveland in a three-team trade in February that sent Wally Szczerbiak and Ben Wallace to the Cavaliers.

Clay Bennett's ownership group has reached a final settlement with the city of Seattle, allowing the former SuperSonics franchise to move to Oklahoma City. Attorneys filed a document Tuesday in Seattle federal court noting that the parties had agreed to pay their own court costs after reaching the settlement.

I apologize for the lateness of this article, my second installment in my 2009 NBA Prediction series. Computer problems have plagued my available times to write. I am back now, along with my articles. This second installment deals with the formerly known Seattle Supersonics, who this past summer, successfully relocated to Oklahoma City, OK. There is no definite nickname in place for this team at present. When predicting how a team might fare in a season, one must look at said team's roster, draft choices in previous years, and the division that said team plays in. It has been rumored that Oklahoma City will play in the Southwest Division of the Western Conference, along with New Orleans, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and Memphis. Aside from the Grizzlies, this division can be considered one of the toughest in the league, if not the toughest. With the Grizzlies' acquisition of O.J.
