If the Hornets aren’t careful and let this
hangover bleed into Game 5 they could easily be
looking at a must-win in San Antonio in Game 6. The Spurs have the edge in experience, leadership and savvy — if they play with more hustle and heart again then the Hornets don’t stand a chance.

For the last decade people have debated Garnett
v. Duncan, Duncan v. Garnett. Would an NBA Finals
match up this season really settle anything?
San Antonio and New Orleans may have finished
the regular season with identical records and split the
season series, but every year the Spurs prove that the NBA’s second season is a different animal.
Chris Paul’s seducing Bruce Bowen with his dribble
at the top of the key, eyes darting around
the court, and then before anyone’s ready for it, Paul’s weaving his way past one of the best defenders in the league, and is hoisting another patented floater over the outstretched arms of a bewildered Tim Duncan.

During the past 24 hours I've waffled on
whether or not I should even bother mentioning Tim
Duncan. Yes, he played what was possibly the worst playoff game of his career, but everybody knows that. You, me, Tim, Pop, and everyone on the ...

While there have been plenty of “faces” in
sports (Tim Duncan and Peyton Manning come to mind),
I think we’re going to have to coin the shot of Mike Brown at the end of last night’s game as the “Monster.com” face. Of course, if any job search engine wants to partner up, we can change...
I immediately regret that headline. Anyway, New Orleans
opened their series against San Antonio in style with
an ass kicking of impressive proportions. The Spurs held a four point lead after the first quarter, but once the mascot lit the floor on ...
Hornets Shut Down Tim Duncan In Game 1
Once again a season that began with great
expectations ended with an early playoffs exit. For the
third time in the last four years the San Antonio Spurs eliminated your Phoenix Suns from the NBA post season. This time it was 4-1 as the Spurs beat the Suns 92-87 in San Antonio to advance to the second round.
Andrew Bogut blocks shots AND draws charges... a

you. Did you piss in this? Told no. Bullshit.
So the battle for #1, 2 or 3
comes down to this, the last 2 games of
the year. And this one for the Spurs was a big one. With the Spurs coming in hurt, you had to be wary of the wounded animal effect the Lakers have such a tough time dealing with. After the emotional win against the Hornets two nights ago, the Lakers had to dig deep to find the energy to match their performance versus New ...
