Muhahahaha. Kobe Bryant, did I not try to
warn you ? Did the Great Andrei not tell
you in front of a national audience how he was preparing to lay the beat down on you and your wimpy Lakers? I suppose you didn’t take my threats seriously. You ...
Lakers/Jazz highlights
Larry Miller picked a poor game to miss.
True, the Jazz owner may have scored a few
points with his Mormon God by choosing, for religious reasons, not to attend the first Sunday game at Utah in seven years (although I’m going to assume he’ll still keep the profits from the game). But he missed a well-played contest that left Lakers fans feeling blue and perhaps even a bit blasphemous.
Phil Jackson has a tough question to answer.
It’s with their backup PG, 21-year-old Jordan Farmar, who
right now is struggling through perhaps his worst stretch of the season and is getting absolutely abused by the Jazz as soon as he steps foot on the floor. Obviously, it couldn't have come at a worse time.

Deron Williams had 29 points and 14 assists
as his Utah Jazz beat the L.A. Lakers 123-115
in overtime to even their second round series at 2-2. Kobe Bryant finished with 33 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds but a back injury that he suffered early in the game got progressively worse and significantly hindered him down the stretch.
It’s not something you’re going to work on
in basketball camp, but Kobe actually manages to make
an alley oop off the backboard to himself look like a fundamentally sound, high-percentage play. There aren’t too many people on the planet who can do this.

Lakers forward Ronny Turiaf was ejected early in
the second quarter of Game 4 of the Western
Conference semifinals against the Jazz on Sunday for a flagrant foul. Turiaf knocked Utah's Ronnie Price hard to the floor as Price drove for a layup, leaving the Jazz guard with a bloody gash over his right eye.

There have been several stories lately about Derek
Fisher, his daughter Tatum's cancer treatments, and Fisher's unusual
departure from the Jazz last summer. Here's a great one from J.A. Adande . Read that, and get a sense of what Derek Fisher is ...
Lakers get first competition halfway through second-round of
playoffs.....
J.A. Adande, that guy that doesn't know enough
about sports and decides to cover up his lack
of knowledge by talking about racial issues has finally come out with a half decent article about the Lakers and Kobe Bryant.
Carlos Boozer scored nine straight points for Utah
in less than three minutes in the fourth quarter
to help the Jazz hold off a late Lakers' rally in game three of their second round series. He finished with 27 points and tied a playoff career-high with 20 rebounds in Utah's 104-99 win.
The Lakers head to Utah with a 2-0
lead in their best of seven series. So far
the Lakers are undefeated in the play-offs, and are playing with that swagger that borders on over confidence. Other then a decided rebounding edge, Utah didn’t play their best ball in LA and are looking to get it back at home. Home is where they are 37-4, so the Lakers have their work cut out for them.
Visit http://www.nba.com/video for more highlights. Carlos Boozer snaps
out of a slump with 27 points and 20
rebounds in Utah's win.
