The Clippers Trade Brevin Knight for Jason Hart, Warriors Unlikely to Match Azubuike
Man, them Clippers are busy little beavers this summer. Their latest transaction involves a point guard exchange, one that will send Brevin Knight to Utah for Jason Hart. Hardly a deal that will set the NBA, the Pacific Division or even Staples Center on fire, it’s nonetheless a sneaky good little move for [...]

Golden State Warriors: Rolling at the Rocky Mountain Revue
The first thing I wondered after looking at the box score to the Warriors first victory in Utah was, “Who are these guys?” Turns out, the Warriors handily beat the Nets with a bunch of guys who’ve never played a regular season game for Golden State...

Iranian team finds support at Rocky Mountain Revue
TAYLORSVILLE — By the hundreds, they sported red and green clothes and face paint, waved their country's flags and posters, and stomped, clapped, chanted and cheered for their nation's best players. They even brought a kazoo-like horn that continually blared on — to the surprise of some — all game long. The FIBA Asian champions didn't beat the Jazz, but give the Iranian national team and ...

 CJ Signs With OKC
CJ Signs With OKC
So, I guess we now understand why CJ Miles decided to forgo playing with the Utah Jazz in the Rocky Mountain Revue. CJ signed an offer sheet with the Oklahoma City Thunde r on Friday, worth $15 million over 4 years. The Jazz have until next Friday to decide whether or not to match and retain Miles. The offer sheet seems like just enough to make you wonder what the Jazz will do. With a ...

 Filling CJ's Slot
Filling CJ's Slot
Now that CJ is on his way to the prarie, the Jazz suddenly have an open roster slot. (CJ is not officially gone; but he will be, marks my word). So, assuming that the Jazz put someone in that 15th slot (a big assumption) who do they nab? A Restricted Free Agent : Most of the guys that I wanted when free agency began are gone. But there is one big afro still on that list who hasn't signed ...

Complacency Not An Option For Utah
Complacency Not An Option For Utah
For the Utah Jazz, complacency is not an option. Yet this offseason has, once again, sent signals around the NBA that the team prefers a holding pattern rather than an aggressive approach on the market. Last season Utah went 54-28 but lost to the ...

Iranian hoopsters in Utah say basketball - not politics - is their game - Salt Lake Tribune
Samad Bahrami and his teammates are visiting Utah on a mission clouded by grave political overtones. But it has nothing to do with missile tests, nuclear ambitions, terrorism or the threat of war. For them, it's all about basketball.

NBA News from the Cavalier Perspective - 7/16/08
I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw the comments from Utah Jazz GM Kevin O’Connor regarding Carlos Boozer’s impending 2009 free agency. Boozer, the same player who abandoned Cleveland in what many feel was a pre-arranged “double-cross”, has a player option in 2009.

Utah Jazz #1 in season ticket sales?
Utah Jazz #1 in season ticket sales?
I got this email today and was surprised to learn that the Jazz are #1 in season ticket sales. There are a couple ways that this conclusion could be reached. 1) total number of season tickets owned; 2) highest number sold since the season ended; 3) percentage of seats owned by season ticket holders. The email doesn't say what data was used, but it's surprising no matter what formula was used.

How many blonds does it take to change a coach's mind? In the case of Jerry Sloan, one's certainly not enough — even if he's 7-foot-1 and oozing with potential. Indeed, it's going to take much more than a mere dye job for Kyrylo Fesenko to make a ...
