Nine Teams To Bind Them, One Conference To Rule Them All
Nine Teams To Bind Them, One Conference To Rule Them All
With the Big East commish openly discussing it, it seems its inevitable that a ninth team will be joining the conference sooner than later. But who is this magical ninth team who is going to provide us with instant legitimacy, compete on a regular basis and be excited to be a member of our conference? Notre Dame? Navy? Army? East Carolina? Villanova?

Syracuse Is Better Than The United States Army
Syracuse Is Better Than The United States Army
Down 3-2 at halftime on Sunday, one might have felt a sense of "here we go again" with the Syracuse Men's Lacrosse team. Certainly the 2007 team would have likely lost this one. More teams for the Big East? (UPDATE)
There is an update on the Big East Conference and Army/Navy collaboration. From a YardBarker member (his nicname is: BeenTo2SUs) I was directed to this blog on ESPN. If you read it, you can plainly see that the Big East has no intention of adding Army and Navy as members.

Finally, Army vs. Navy Might Mean Something
Finally, Army vs. Navy Might Mean Something
Take this news with a pillar of salt, but how do you feel about Army and Navy joining the Big East for football? The idea is a joint football-only membership (or “association’’ if you will) for Army and Navy. The two service academies would play four games apiece each season against Big East schools. The setup would help all involved in the area of scheduling.

Dear USMA AD,
Something needs to be done, and quick. USMA football is sinking (well, what's the land equivalent of sinking, since this isn't about USNA?). You heave a wealth of dedicated and smart athletes. They will literally do anything you ask of them. But your offensive schema isn't working. How do I know this? Your record...
