After watching Michael Beasley and Jacob Pullen lead
the Kansas State Wildcats to a huge upset of
the then-undefeated and #2 ranked Kansas Jayhawks, it hit me — only one unblemished team remains in college basketball. Only one team has yet to deal with failure. Only one has refused to bend or break down the stretch. However, is it because of true athletic superiority? Absolutely not..
Last year I pretty much watched every Texas
basketball game I could, even though I don't really
care that much about college basketball until tournament time starts. The reason why I watched was simple: Kevin Durant. This year, I'm back to my old ways. Sort of randomly checking out games every now and then, but not really following an specific player.

As we approach the stretch run of the
2007-2008 basketball season, we find a Big 12 freshmen
solidifying his position as the frontrunner for National Player of the Year. In fact, the entire freshman class is playing at a level unlike anything NCAA hoops has ever seen, in terms of both superstar talent and depth. But wait a minute, haven’t we heard this before?

Since we're just about headed into All-Star break,
I figure it's not too early for some NBA
lottery mock draft goodness. To make things more fair in the Association, I've proposed we just grant the entire Eastern Conference two picks each, but that's likely to get vetoed by Mr. Stern. So we'll just go with the current lottery standings and assumed all prospects are available.
