McNeese State Cowboys Archive |
The Web's most popular McNeese State Cowboys news, videos, and blogs archive.
Well, it's finally time to begin the focus
on the game against McNeese State. As will happen
every Tuesday before the game there will be First Thoughts, a blog where I will just give some thoughts about the game.
After the weather delayed the game for over
100 minutes (1 hour and 48 minutes to be
exact), North Carolina (1-0) and McNeese State (0-1) finished their game, with the Heels coming in on top by the score of 35 to 27.
Duke officials were a bit surprised when, at
6 p.m. Saturday, about an hour before the scheduled
kickoff of their game against James Madison, two men parachuted into Wallace Wade Stadium and landed with a game ball. >Problem was, the Blue Devils -- ...
Spencer Hall takes a look back at the
first week of the 2008 college football season as
only he can. A-Z. With attitude.
After a day of wondering how all the
hype from the North Carolina football team turned into
a squad that was way below what most so-called experts/analysts believed, I have now come to a very simple conclusion. Saturday's game, because at the end of the line Carolina did win, doesn't matter.
Head coach Butch Davis has finally given his
depth chart for the first game of the season.
Coach Davis seems to have gone by the predictions that most people that follow the team would have thought.
If anyone needs proof that the Carolina fan
base is backing what head coach Butch Davis and
his team here is a small tidbit for all of the doubters...
The Tar Heels football program planned to kick
off their season in style yesterday. UNC hired a
pair of skydivers to descend from above and deliver the game ball prior to their match-up with McNeese State. Fans and organizers waited in breathless ...
As part of the coverage for the McNeese
State vs. North Carolina game I have already done
First Thoughts, and now "The Pulse of the South" and I will go at it in "Head 2 Head, where I will answer the question regarding the Tar Heels and he will do the same regarding the Cowboys.
As the game is about to begin I
give you my "Final Thoughts" on it. Just like
the "First Thoughts" I did at the beginning of the week, these too are random and just off the top of my head as I think about the game. These thoughts are just what I feel as the game is about to begin, nothing more ...
A "Quick Hit Post" is needed right now.
I thought I would be doing one about the
first half of the game, but instead I am doing one about the fact that who is really winning at Kenan Stadium is the weather.
The University of North Carolina signed up a
skydiving duo to drop from the sky before Saturday
night’s home opener for the football squad. (After all, no one’s coming out to see McNeese State. Not even the McNeese family. They need to clean their gutters. You know. Gutter-cleaning season. That’s it.) Unfortunately, the weather was predicted to be rough while the men ...

6 p.m. Saturday, about an hour before the scheduled
kickoff of their game against James Madison, two men parachuted into Wallace Wade Stadium and landed with a game ball.
If there is one thing I have learned
as a blogger is to look for anything and
everything. With the North Carolina/McNeese State not being televised I thought that there wouldn't be much on YouTube.
UPDATE - A UNC fan blog picks up
on this post and responds, giving three good reasons
Carolina shouldn’t play App State. They all boil down to - “App State might win.” And you call yourself a BCS program. Now ain’t this cute. ...
In a way, it's simpler than Math 101
for the Tar Heels. >If they can just take
care of the basics by winning nonconference games against probable underdogs McNeese State, Notre Dame and Connecticut, all in Chapel Hill, and then go just 4-4 against ...
These opponents may look like rabbit stew...but they
can bite your head off!
Brandon Tate got the crowd going early with
a nice kickoff return of 56 yards. That puts
the Heels on the McNeese 40 and great position to get up early. Greg Little's first carry as the official runningback of the Heels...a 1 yard gain on a sweep..
Duke officials were a bit surprised when, at
6 p.m. EDT on Saturday, about an hour before
the scheduled kickoff of their game against James Madison, two men parachuted into Wallace Wade Stadium and landed at the 35-yard line with a game ball. Problem ...
As you may have heard already, North Carolina
tried a stunt where two skydivers landed in their
stadium before their scheduled tip-off against McNeese State. But apparently, they skydivers nor the pilot had never heard of this thing I like to call ...
