After the weather delayed the game for over 100 minutes (1 hour and 48 minutes to be exact), North Carolina (1-0) and McNeese State (0-1) finished their game, with the Heels coming in on top by the score of 35 to 27.

After a day of wondering how all the hype from the North Carolina football team turned into a squad that was way below what most so-called experts/analysts believed, I have now come to a very simple conclusion. Saturday's game, because at the end of the line Carolina did win, doesn't matter.

Brandon Tate got the crowd going early with a nice kickoff return of 56 yards. That puts the Heels on the McNeese 40 and great position to get up early. Greg Little's first carry as the official runningback of the Heels...a 1 yard gain on a sweep..
